- What is the best way to handle functional Hallux limitus?
We provide sub-talar and mid-tarsal joint stability with a fully posted device. We then encourage first ray plantar flexion by removing the shell beneath it and providing an anatomically contoured met head cutout. This configuration is sometimes referred to as a "K-wedge".
- The patient has a flexible cavus deformity and stands on his/her feet all day. What SOLO device would be most appropriate?
The Maximum Shock Series gives comfortable control for excessive pronation without excessive rigidity. It also provides excellent shock absorption. It's ideal for those patients who are on their feet for most of their workday.
